The first snow usually shows up at the end of November but mostly does not last longer than 2 or 3 days. Starting at around the middle of January the snow will stay usually until end of March. The nighttime temperatures are usually around -10 C and the daytime temperatures usually are around the freezing point. Exceptions are not only possible but for sure.
From end January to mid March the lake is often under a thick layer of ice and you can walk over the lake to the ocean.
The hight of snow can vary greatly but usually we have about 1 to 2 feet of snow.
There are many sunny days in winter.
